Lobstermania!

Last week, Jason's aunt and uncle left us with some very delicious fresh lobster! We decided to have it two ways  - the weeknight option of the lobster roll (by Felicia), and the fancy grill special (by Jason)
The lobster meat was so fresh and sweet all it required was a quick saute with butter and some seasoned Borsani salt, served on a toasted hot dog roll - Delicious AND easy!

Hoping that spring is here, we brought our grill out of the garage, and put it back on the deck. What better way to kick off the season than with some surf and turf!  Doesn't it look fabulous?! It tasted even better than it looks! I asked Jason to share the recipe for grilled lobster tails....

Shamrock Shakes and Fancy French

It has been a busy week for us, and a festive one in Boston!  Jason's aunt and uncle were in town from New Brunswick promoting seafood at the International Seafood Festival so we went to Boston on St Patrick's day, we drove in to see them.

On our drive, Jason had a craving for Shamrock Shakes (I had never heard of this before) so we pulled into McDonald's at a highway rest stop to get one of these flourescent green shakes....apparently they only have them around St P's day....
I couldn't quite figure out the flavor but if I had to name it, I'd call it "Vanillamint". Jason was very happy. I was amused. I think my favorite is still the Strawberry Milkshake. When we finally got to Boston, his aunt and uncle were busy so we decided to get a quick bite at Petit Robert's, a french bistro. It was OMGood. Everything about our meal was divine.
French onion soup and mussels
Roast Lamb Shank with white beans and other yummy deliciousness. The dish that is closer in the photo was a phenomenal Ratatouille.
We finished off with a coffee and chocolate mousse!

If you live in or near boston, we give Petit Robert two thumbs up!

Krishna Das (click for NYTimes article link)

I just read this article in the NYTimes about Krishna Das and then there he was! At Kripalu this weekend. It was pretty amazing! Here's a Youtube clip:

Refreshed, Relaxed, and Ready to Return

I've taken a small break from blogging, but am back now! Since my last post, I've worked a lot, then went on a family vacation to Cancun, and then just this past weekend, went to a retreat at Kripalu in the Berkshires. I feel rejuvenated and have a lot to post on - there will be new music, new food and new adventures to share this month! :)

I'll start by sharing my weekend at Kripalu - I went with Stacey for a Coyote Healing workshop led by Lewis Mehl-Madrona, MD, PhD as part of my cultural psych education.  For those of you who are unfamiliar and are interested in his work, you can read more about it here.
